Mother’s Day is a special time to show our love and appreciation for our amazing moms and Mother figures. If you want to make this day even more special by adding some Ready For Spanish fun, here are five kid-friendly words and phrases that will make Mom smile:
#1 “Mamá” (pronounced: mah-mah) – This is the Spanish word for “mom.” It sounds just like “mama” and is a super sweet way to call your mom and make her feel loved.
Example: ¡Feliz Día de la Mamá, mamá! (Happy Mother’s Day, Mom!)#2 “Te quiero mucho” (pronounced: teh kee-eh-roh moo-cho) – This means “I love you very much.” It’s a great way to tell your mom how much she means to you and how special she is.
Example: ¡Te quiero mucho, mamá! (I love you very much, Mom!)#3 “Abrazo” (pronounced: ah-brah-so) – This word means “hug” in Spanish. Give your mom a big, warm hug to show her how much you care.
Example: ¡Un abrazo gigante, mamá! (A big hug, Mom!)#4 “Gracias” (pronounced: grah-see-ahs) – This word means “thank you.” Take a moment to say thank you to your mom for all the love and support she gives you.
Example: ¡Gracias por ser la mejor mamá del mundo! (Thank you for being the best mom in the world!)
#5 “Eres increíble” (pronounced: eh-res in-kreh-ee-bleh) – This phrase means “You are incredible.” Let your mom know how amazing she is with this special compliment.
